Common questions

How do I connect my piano or keyboard?

Most digital pianos from the last 15 years have a USB port marked "USB to Host". Connect it to your iPad or iPhone with a USB cable (USB-C, or Apple's Camera Adapter for Lightning). Bluetooth MIDI keyboards can be paired in Keyglow's settings. Settings also has a keyboard test that checks every key.

Can I use Keyglow with an acoustic piano?

Yes. Choose the microphone in the play settings and Keyglow listens to your piano. It hears one note at a time, so use the screen keys for the Chords drill. Microphone runs earn stars, but leaderboards need a MIDI keyboard.

The notes feel late. What can I do?

Run the latency calibration in Settings: play a key each time a dot lights up, and Keyglow adjusts its timing to your instrument. A USB cable gives the lowest delay. Bluetooth headphones delay the sound you hear, not your score.

How do I play my own songs?

Download a MIDI or MusicXML file in Safari, or save it in Files, then choose Open in Keyglow or use Import in the library. Keyglow splits the hands for you and keeps a copy, so the song stays even if the original file is gone.

How do I restore Keyglow Pro or share it with my family?

Open Settings in Keyglow and tap Restore Purchases. Pro is shared automatically with your family through Family Sharing.

How do I move my songs and progress to a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple Account and keep iCloud on. Imported songs, results and practice days sync through your private iCloud. Settings stay on each device.
